BIEN BARAZA GETS DISCRIMINATED IN A HOTEL IN KAKAMEGA.

Sauti Sol's Bien has Walked Out of a Kakamega Establishment Amid Claims of Preferential Service to Foreigners.

Singer Bien has criticized what he called favoritism toward foreigners, declaring that it's time for Kenyans to reclaim their own venues.

The artist revealed that he left a venue on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, in protest after feeling undervalued, emphasizing that he refuses to spend his money in establishments where locals are mistreated.

“We need to decolonise our spaces as a nation,” he said.

Bien further stated that the practice of extending lavish welcome to white visitors while dismissing Kenyans as unimportant is obsolete and intolerable in modern times.

Bien clarified that his departure was an act of demonstration.

“I walked out in protest because I won’t spend my money where I’m not appreciated,” he said, underscoring that equal respect must be extended to all individuals irrespective of their origins. He also disclosed that this was not a one-off occurrence.

“I had a similar experience in Nanyuki,” Bien said, indicating that such incidents occur in various locations nationwide. Bien urged Kenyans to assert themselves and restore their dignity in domestic establishments.

“We need to take back our spaces,” he said, encouraging citizens to voice their grievances when they encounter disrespect in their homeland.

His wife, Chiki Kuruka, also recounted her perspective, noting that the way they were treated was profoundly distressing.
