Decomposing Bodies Found Dumbed In A Septic Tank In Vihiga.
Security agencies have successfully recovered two decomposing bodies from a septic tank located behind a commercial building near the Kenya Women Bank in the centre of Mbale Town.
The grim operation, which began earlier this afternoon following the initial discovery this morning, concluded a short while ago. Eyewitnesses and local sources confirm that the remains—those of one adult male and one adult female—were retrieved in the presence of police, forensic officers, and scene-of-crime personnel.
Both bodies were found completely naked, in an advanced state of decomposition, making immediate visual identification difficult. Preliminary observations at the scene indicate the remains had been in the septic tank for a considerable period.
The area, situated only a short distance from the Mbale Police Station, remains cordoned off as investigators continue processing the scene. Forensic experts are expected to conduct post-mortem examinations in the coming hours or days as investigations continue.
