Bungoma Goliath Thrilled as Construction Begins on Dream Three-Bedroom Village Home

Popular Kenyan social media personality Isaac Otesa, widely known as Bungoma Goliath, is beaming with joy and gratitude as groundbreaking work commences on his new three-bedroom bungalow in his rural village in Bungoma County. The project, a generous gift from his employer, marks a remarkable turnaround for the viral influencer who rose to fame through his larger-than-life personality and relatable content.

The construction kicked off recently at the family’s ancestral land in Nangata, with the foundation already taking shape. Goliath’s boss, Patrick Riang’a (commonly referred to as Patrick of Car Soko), a prominent Nairobi-based car dealer, is fully funding the build as a reward for Goliath’s dedication over the past year as the brand’s ambassador. Estimates place the value of the modern three-bedroom home at around KSh 3.5 million, complete with contemporary design features suited to a comfortable family residence.

Goliath, who previously lived in a modest mud-walled house and openly shared his humble beginnings online, could barely contain his excitement during site visits and updates shared across TikTok, Instagram, and other platforms. He even rolled up his sleeves to assist with some of the early work, reminiscing about his past days doing mjengo (casual construction labor) to make ends meet. “From mjengo days to building my own,” he proudly reflected in one video clip, as he helped around the site and posed for photos amid the rising foundation.

The gesture goes beyond bricks and mortar. In a deeper act of restoration, Patrick and the Car Soko team also repurchased the family’s land that had been sold years earlier under desperate circumstances. Goliath had once been arrested after losing a borrowed motorbike, and with bail money out of reach, his relatives sold the plot to secure his release. Today, that same land has been reclaimed and officially returned to the family, symbolizing a full-circle moment of redemption and hope.

Social media has been abuzz with support for the initiative. Fellow influencers, fans, and well-wishers have flooded comments with congratulations, with some noting how Goliath’s authenticity and hard work have paid off in unexpected ways. Media personality Oga Obinna publicly commended him, stating that the giant influencer had “added real value” to the power of social media influence.

The project has also drawn attention from local outlets and YouTube creators, with teams documenting progress updates, including day-by-day construction diaries posted by Patrick himself. As the walls begin to rise in the quiet village, the story of Bungoma Goliath is inspiring many Kenyans, highlighting themes of kindness, loyalty, second chances, and the transformative impact one act of generosity can have.

For Goliath, the new home represents more than shelter—it’s a symbol of progress, stability, and a brighter future for him and his family. As construction continues, the viral sensation remains actively involved, sharing his excitement with followers and reminding everyone that dreams, no matter how humble they start, can indeed come true.
