As students reopened schools for the second term as per the revised education curriculum, some of the students who are vulnerable are still lagging behind as there fee payments relays mostly on the NG-CDF which is disbursed through the office of the member of National Assembly (MPs)

The kanduyi residents who are parents of different students in different institutions are raising complains against their area MP John Makali, as they say that the bursaries are not disbursed as it is required, they say that instead the bursaries are offered to those who are well off as they neglect the vulnerable. They have complains that the application system has been riddled with politics and many ghost beneficiaries.

The most glaring scandal came to light after Governor Lusaka formed the education scholarship Audit Task Force in 2022. The task force found that ksh 29 million that was paid to ghost students.

The parents are unhappy as they are informed of the application and they follow the process and deliver their documents and afterwards they are no any disbursement leading to many students being at home as others continue with studies leading to school drop out.
