Emorimor's stark warning to Iteso, "Don't Split, Unite"

"Emorimor Papa Iteso Paul Sande Emolot has urged the Iteso community to unite, speak with one voice, and support the government for their benefit. He cautioned against competing for the same position, citing the example of Iteso in Uganda who've prospered after joining government. 'We are few, let's not fight each other, we'll fail,' he said, amid speculations of multiple Iteso candidates vying for Busia County governor in 2027."

He alluded that the community should not rush for one position contesting for one seat, sending a wake-up call to the leaders from the community to be wise .
This comes when Arthur Amug Osiya, who is a Principal Administrative Secretary in the office of the president and Engineer Vincent Sidai Esyepet from the same community, have both showed interest for Busia County gubernatorial race 2027 against the incumbent Dr.Paul Nyongesa Otuoma who's from the Luhya community.
"We are few, thus the need to unite during elections.we should not fight against ourselves, we shall fail"
Speaking during the burial service of the Iteso Cultural Union (ICU) commissioner Papa Mark Osili Adungo, at Ng'elechom village in Chakol North Ward, Busia County, Emorimor said the Iteso community were in the opposition for a long time that spanned 25yrs fighting in the bush and immediately after joining the ugandan government, the iteso in Uganda have reaped well.
"We have a vice president ( Jessica Alupo ) in president Museveni's government. We are proud over that, we are the second in command"
