Family Seeks Justice After Acid Attack Death,Kimilili

A family in Matili within Kimilili Constituency of Bungoma County is calling for thorough investigations after unknown attackers used acid on their relative and left him dead.
Relatives have turned to the government for help in uncovering the full circumstances of the young man’s killing and ensuring that those responsible face the law. The sudden loss has left the household in deep mourning and searching for answers that remain elusive.
The deceased’s mother, Eunice Kisiangani, described her son as the family’s only male child and a vital breadwinner who supported those around him. Speaking on Monday, August 17, 2026, she said the tragedy had left everyone devastated and struggling to accept the abrupt void. “Serikali mtusaidie mtoto wetu aliuwawa kinyama tunataka haki, mtoto wangu ako na familia mtusaidie,” she pleaded, urging authorities to step in so that justice could be delivered for a young man who also left behind his own family.
Kisiangani portrayed her son as a central pillar whose absence has created lasting pain among relatives. The family had never imagined losing him in such a violent manner and now looks to investigators to determine exactly what happened. Without offering any theories about possible motives or naming suspects, she simply asked officials to establish the reasons behind the attack and identify anyone who may have taken part.
Bukusu community chairman David Kasili shared the family’s anguish and described the victim as a dependable young man whose death had hit his relatives especially hard. “Ile kitendo walimufanyia, hii familia imehuzunika sana, na wale ambao wamepatikana tunaomba haki itendeke na serikali ichukuwe mkondo wake, huyu kijana alikuwa ni kijana wa tengemeo sana na sasa hiyo kifo nikama wametunyang’anya na hatukuwa tunatarajia,” he stated, calling on the government to pursue the matter fully.
As questions about the acid attack continue to linger, the relatives keep pressing for concrete action that will reveal the truth and bring closure. Their appeal underscores a wider hope that authorities will treat the case with urgency so that a dependable son and provider is not forgotten and that accountability follows the crime that ended his life.
