The disagreement between his first and second families turned highly visible when a video from the graveside spread rapidly online.Lyndah Kebati, whose mother is Bosco’s second wife Angelica Akinyi, spoke emotionally at the burial. She accused the first family of shutting her side out of key funeral plans. According to her, she was refused permission to see her father’s body at the mortuary, given no role in preparing the eulogy, and stopped from helping lower the casket.
Julie Marita, the youngest daughter of Bosco’s first wife, later shared a contrasting version of events. She said the family division started more than twenty years ago when Bosco married his second wife. From that time, she claimed, financial help to the first household largely ended and life became difficult for them.
Julie also stated that when Bosco’s health worsened in his last three years, the second wife brought him back to the first family. She said her side took on most of the responsibility for his medical treatment and daily care. She added that the second family was informed about his condition but offered little practical support.
Other relatives from the first family have raised concerns about Bosco’s pension and assets from his time at Kenya Power. Some released the official eulogy to show that the second family’s names had been included, rejecting claims of total exclusion. The two sides continue to present very different accounts of Bosco’s final years and the handling of his burial. The public argument has drawn wide attention and underlined the lasting tensions that can arise in polygamous families.
