How to access 2025 KCSE exam results

The Ministry of Education has formally unveiled the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results.
Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba made the announcement during the event held at AIC Chebisas High School in Eldoret. He stated that the 993,226 candidates who participated in the 2025 KCSE can now view their results via the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) online portal.
He revealed that 270,715 candidates qualified for direct university admission by achieving a C+ or higher.In addition, 507,131 candidates attained C– and above, marking an increase from the 476,889 recorded in the 2024 KCSE exams.
Overall, 634,082 candidates achieved D+ and above, compared to 605,774 in the prior year.
The CS highlighted that grading for this year's results followed the updated framework introduced by the Ministry.
"As has been the case since the 2023 KCSE examination, the 2025 KCSE examination results have been graded using the reviewed grading system in which the overall grade at the KCSE examination considers Mathematics, the best-performed language among English/Kiswahili/Kenyan Sign Language, and the best-performed five subjects," Ogamba stated.
Here's a step-by-step guide to checking the 2025 KCSE results:
1. Go to the official site: https://results.knec.ac.ke or navigate to the KNEC website and select the KCSE results section.
2. Input the candidate's index number along with at least one registered name.
3.Agree to the privacy and access terms.
4.Proceed to retrieve the results.
