. The toll-free number, 0800 900 900, allows members of the public to report suspicious activities and terrorism-related concerns confidentially.

The initiative was officially unveiled by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi. He emphasised that the hotline is a security measure designed to save lives rather than a political project, and that it will enable communities to work closely with authorities in places such as churches, mosques, public transport and during special events.

Officials from both partner countries attended the launch. The US Deputy Ambassador stated that the service would give Kenyans a safe way to report suspected terrorist activity without fear of victimisation. The UK Deputy High Commissioner added that the hotline and its accompanying online portal would support investigations and allow for timely interventions. The project forms part of ongoing trilateral cooperation between Kenya, the UK and the US focused on preventing terrorism and protecting critical infrastructure and public spaces. Authorities have encouraged citizens to use the line whenever they notice anything suspicious.By providing an easy and anonymous channel for reporting, the government hopes to strengthen community involvement in national security and improve the country’s ability to detect and disrupt potential threats.
