KNEC releases 2025 KCSE result slips

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has officially announced the availability of the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) result slips, marking a key step for thousands of candidates eager to review their performance and plan their next academic moves.
In a public notice issued on Saturday, KNEC confirmed that the physical result slips have been processed and dispatched to all Sub-County Directors of Education (SCDE) offices throughout the country. School principals who registered candidates are urged to coordinate directly with their local SCDEs to pick up the documents without delay.
Candidates are directed to head to their respective former schools to collect their individual result slips in person, as this remains the primary and authorized method of access at this stage. The announcement stresses: “The 2025 KCSE examination result slips are ready for collection. Candidates are advised to visit their schools and collect the result slips.” This follows the earlier release of the overall 2025 KCSE results, which showed notable progress in national performance compared to the previous year.
The 2025 exams saw 993,226 candidates participate, a rise of over 30,000 from 2024. Highlights included a slight increase in top performers, with 1,932 achieving an A plain (0.19%), and more students qualifying for university entry—270,715 attained C+ and above (27.18%). Overall, half the candidates scored C- or better, reflecting Education CS Julius Migos Ogamba's commendation of improved learner outcomes. With result slips now in circulation, successful candidates can proceed toward university placements via KUCCPS, expected to open applications in March 2026.
