KUCCPS Opens Portal for 2026 University and College Applications

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has officially opened its portal for the 2026 placement cycle
Students who sat for the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations can now apply for admission to universities, colleges, and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.
The application process started on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, and will run until Wednesday, May 6, 2026. This gives candidates a full month to make their choices and submit applications.
KUCCPS has urged all 2025 KCSE candidates to log into the portal early, review available programmes, and submit their preferred courses before the deadline. The placement body emphasised that early application helps avoid last-minute rush and technical challenges.
Students can access the portal through the official KUCCPS website. They are advised to have their KCSE index numbers and examination year ready when logging in. KUCCPS has also reminded candidates to choose programmes they genuinely qualify for and meet the minimum entry requirements to increase their chances of successful placement.
This year’s placement cycle is expected to accommodate thousands of students into various degree, diploma, and certificate programmes across the country.
