Man in Critical Condition After Being Set Ablaze in Suspected Love Triangle Incident in Nandi County

A 27-year-old man from Timobo village in Kapchorwa Ward, Nandi County, is fighting for his life at Kapsabet County Referral Hospital after sustaining severe burns and other critical injuries in a violent confrontation tied to an alleged love triangle.
According to preliminary police reports, the victim was discovered in a compromising position with another man’s wife inside the couple’s matrimonial home in the same village. The incident unfolded when the husband unexpectedly returned from work and found the two individuals together in their bed, triggering an immediate and furious reaction.
Enraged by the discovery, the husband reportedly launched a brutal attack on the man, inflicting serious bodily harm before escalating the assault by pouring fuel on him and setting him ablaze. The victim suffered extensive burns across his body, leaving him in a life-threatening condition and currently under intensive care at the referral hospital.
