Millions Worth Of Property Destroyed As Fire Guts Home Of Nominated MCA Rose Amoit In Busia.

The fire, which started at around 8 p.m., reportedly spread rapidly through the house, forcing family members and neighbors to rush to the scene in an attempt to rescue the properties and contain the flames.
According to her husband Gerald Emusugut, they were all in the living room when they noticed flames and smoke emerging from one side of the room. They raised an alarm seeking help from neighbors who responded quickly and helped save some of the household items before the fire spread .
Emusugut expressed hope and called for thorough investigations to establish the cause of the fire as neighbors sympathized with the MCA and her family over her loss.
Several leaders from Busia County led by minister of sports Paul Olun'ga,Ang'urai East member of county assembly David Parapara who questioned the cause of the fire.
They urged residents to remain calm as police begin investigations to determine the cause.
