Miss Choice, the Kenyan woman who gained notoriety after appearing in viral videos leaked by a Russian streamer, has publicly expressed deep regret over accepting KSh 30,000 from controversial preacher Pastor Victor Kanyari.
In a candid interview, she revealed that she initially refused the money outright, insisting she did not want to "sell out" for such a small amount and that it would not meaningfully improve her situation. Despite her firm stance, Kanyari reportedly sent three bouncers to bring her to his church, where he delivered a persuasive sermon emphasizing that no one can be self-sufficient—"you can never be an island, you can never be a mountain that you don’t need someone’s help"—and that even great people seek assistance from men of God.
Choice admitted that this tailored preaching, combined with the pressure, eventually convinced her to accept the gift during a service at Salvation Healing Ministry in Nairobi. She now describes the decision as one of her biggest mistakes, stating, “I regret. I deeply regret,” and wishing she had returned the money immediately. She feels manipulated into taking it, adding that KSh 30,000 “haiwezi nisaidia” (cannot help me) and has left her with only remorse rather than any real benefit. When she considered giving it back, her friends discouraged her, calling it foolish and urging her to use the cash instead.
