North Teso MP Oku Kaunya Urges Massive Turnout for President Ruto’s Development Visit to Kocholia

North Teso Member of Parliament Oku Kaunya has called on residents of his constituency to come out in large numbers tomorrow to warmly welcome President William Ruto during his development tour in Busia County. The President is expected to lay the foundation stone for the construction of new hostels at the KMTC Kocholia Medical Training College, among other key development projects in the area.
Speaking to journalists at the KMTC Kocholia grounds, Kaunya expressed excitement about the presidential visit and urged locals not to miss the opportunity to give Ruto a grand reception. He described the tour as a significant milestone that will see the official launch of several transformative projects aimed at improving lives in North Teso and the larger Busia region.
Kaunya further emphasized that the visit is particularly important because it addresses critical needs of the people, including the expansion and tarmacking of the Malaba-Kanduyi road, which residents have waited for many years.
Ward Representative for Malaba South, Boniface Mamai, fully supported the MP’s call, describing the presidential tour as a major boost for development in the constituency.
The anticipated visit has generated excitement among locals who hope the President’s presence will accelerate stalled projects and bring much-needed infrastructure improvements to the region.
