Nottingham Forest Sack Sean Dyche Hours After Wolves Draw

Nottingham Forest have sacked their manager Sean Dyche just hours after a poor 0-0 draw at home against Wolves.

The team failed to score despite creating many chances (they had 35 shots in the game). Fans were unhappy and booed the players at the end. The result left Forest only three points above the Premier League relegation zone, putting them in danger of dropping to the lower division.

The club owner, Evangelos Marinakis, decided to let Dyche go after less than four months (114 days) and just 17 matches in charge. This makes Dyche the third manager sacked by Forest this season (after Nuno Espirito Santo and Ange Postecoglou).

In an official statement, the club said: "Nottingham Forest Football Club can confirm that Sean Dyche has been relieved of his duties as head coach. We would like to thank Sean and his staff for their efforts during their time at the club and we wish them the best of luck for the future."

Dyche had earlier said the owner has the right to make changes if he wants, as that's how football works nowadays.

Forest are now searching for their fourth manager of the season. They face tough upcoming games, including a trip to play Fenerbahce in the Europa League on February 19, followed by a home match against Liverpool soon after.
