NTSA Names Nashon Kondiwa as New Director General in Leadership Transition

The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has named Nashon Kondiwa as its new Director General, succeeding George Njao who completed his two terms.
The appointment, for a renewable three-year term, took effect on February 17, 2026, following consultation with the Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport. NTSA Board Chairman Khatib Abdallah announced the decision, praising Kondiwa's expertise to lead the authority toward enhanced performance and service delivery.
Kondiwa, previously serving as Deputy Director of Information Communication Technology (ICT) at NTSA, played a key role in driving the organization's digital transformation and improving service systems. With more than 22 years of experience in ICT, innovation, public sector leadership, transportation, Intelligent Transport Systems, and digital initiatives in the road transport sector, his internal promotion highlights a focus on leveraging proven internal talent for operational excellence.
The Board expressed strong confidence in Kondiwa's ability to steer NTSA forward, emphasizing his track record in advancing technology-driven solutions within the authority.
