NYORO UNVEILS FIRST COUNTY OFFICIALS AS PEOPLE'S PARTY BUILDS NATIONWIDE NETWORK

Former Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro has unveiled the first batch of county officials for the People's Party, in a move aimed at establishing the party's grassroots presence across the country.

Nyoro announced the appointments on Monday through his X account, describing the development as the first phase in efforts to strengthen the party's leadership structures.

In the appointments, Riziki Makokha has been designated Deputy Party Leader for Busia County, while Samora K'alosi has been appointed Chairperson of the People's Party in Homa Bay County.

“The People's Party is pleased to announce the first set of designated party officials as we steer the party forward,” Nyoro said.

The latest appointments give the party a leadership footprint at the county level, with the officials expected to coordinate grassroots activities and help expand the party's membership in their respective areas.

The county leadership will also be expected to popularise the People's Party's agenda and manifesto while coordinating mobilisation and recruitment activities.

Nyoro's move comes as the People's Party works to establish itself as a national political outfit and develop structures beyond its initial leadership.

The party is expected to unveil more county officials in the coming days, with appointments for the remaining 45 counties set to follow.

The latest development signals the beginning of a wider organisational rollout as the People's Party seeks to build a presence across Kenya.
