Ol Kalou MP David Njuguna Kiaraho Dies at Nairobi Hospital
Ol Kalou Member of Parliament David Njuguna Kiaraho has passed away.
The third-term legislator died on Sunday, 29 March 2026, at around 1:20 am while undergoing treatment at the Nairobi Hospital. National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula confirmed the sad news and informed Parliament of the MP’s untimely death.
David Njuguna Kiaraho had been serving as MP for Ol Kalou constituency in Nyandarua County since 2013. He was a well-known figure in the region and had been unwell for some time, receiving medical care both locally and abroad. Speaker Wetang’ula expressed condolences to the family, friends, and the people of Ol Kalou, and appointed a committee to help with funeral arrangements.
The passing of Hon. David Njuguna Kiaraho has shocked many Kenyans and members of Parliament. As a long-serving MP, he contributed to various debates and development projects in his constituency. Tributes have started pouring in from colleagues and leaders across the political divide. A by-election is now expected in Ol Kalou following his death. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
