President Ruto Boosts AFC Leopards with Ksh 35 Million Support

AFC Leopards fans have reason to celebrate after their club secured a significant financial injection from President William Ruto.
During a meeting at State House on Wednesday, the Head of State pledged strong backing for the Ingwe faithful, demonstrating commitment to grassroots football development in the country. This timely support is expected to energize the team as they pursue success in domestic competitions.
The President announced an increase in the club's annual sponsorship allocation, raising it to Ksh 100 million. This includes an extra Ksh 25 million on top of the existing Ksh 75 million from current partners, providing much-needed stability for long-term planning. Additionally, a direct Ksh 10 million disbursement was handed over immediately, split between player rewards and squad reinforcement through strategic acquisitions.
The Ksh 5 million designated for players serves as recognition for their hard work and dedication on the field, while the other half will help the technical team bring in fresh talent to strengthen the squad. Club officials expressed gratitude for the gesture, viewing it as a morale booster that could propel AFC Leopards toward greater achievements in the coming seasons. This partnership highlights the important role of sports in national unity and youth empowerment.
Such investments in local clubs like AFC Leopards underscore broader efforts to elevate Kenyan football on the continental stage. Fans and stakeholders are optimistic that this funding will translate into improved performance and infrastructure development. As the club prepares for upcoming matches, the entire Ingwe community is united in appreciation for the presidential endorsement that promises a brighter future.
