Rose Muhando Appeals for Help After Thieves Steal Her Passport and Cash

Popular Tanzanian gospel singer Rose Muhando is asking for public help after thieves broke into her home and stole a bag containing cash and all her important identification documents.
The incident was reported to the police on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. Muhando made her appeal on social media on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
In her statement, she said: “Thieves broke into my place and stole a bag that had money and all my identification documents, including my passport.” She shared a copy of the official police report with reference number PHQ/DOD/DOD/7287/2026. The stolen passport has property number TAC 36597. Muhando urged anyone who finds documents with her name to return them to the nearest police station.
The theft has left the singer stranded because she cannot travel or easily prove her identity without these documents. Many fans across East Africa have expressed sympathy and are sharing her appeal online. Rose Muhando is well known for her powerful gospel songs that have touched millions of lives. As of now, there is no report of the stolen items being recovered.
