Saboti MP Caleb Amisi Set to Launch New Political Party with Rising Leaders

Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi is preparing to introduce a new political party in Kenya within the next two weeks.

The move is expected to bring fresh energy to the country’s political landscape and possibly change how some groups work together. It is not simply about creating another party but about a group of younger politicians choosing to follow their own direction instead of staying within existing arrangements.

The planned structure of the new party places Caleb Amisi at the helm as Party Leader. He will be supported by Antony Kibagendi as the first deputy leader and Godfrey Osotsi as the second deputy leader. Edwin Sifuna is lined up to serve as Secretary General, handling the day-to-day running of the organisation. Babu Owino will take on the role of National Organising Secretary to focus on bringing people together, while Alex Matere is expected to lead as National Youth Leader. This team brings together several active and well-known figures who have built strong followings in recent years.

Many of those involved have connections to the Orange Democratic Movement but feel they have been pushed aside by the group led by Dr Oburu Odinga. Their decision to form a separate party points to a growing desire among a younger generation of politicians to create their own space. They believe this new direction will allow them to address issues that matter most to ordinary Kenyans in ways that feel more direct and relevant.

The launch comes at a time when Kenya’s opposition politics is looking for renewed purpose. If the party takes shape as planned, it could attract support from voters who want change and from leaders seeking a platform that reflects their current views. For now, attention is turning to the coming weeks as Caleb Amisi and his allies prepare to make their plans public and explain what the new party hopes to achieve for the country.
