Sifuna described the pressure on Tuju as an unacceptable attempt to suppress dissenting political voices in Kenya, emphasizing that no one should be targeted for holding or expressing alternative views on governance and public affairs. He urged Kenyans to stand firm against what he called a pattern of using the courts and other institutions to muzzle critics and opposition figures.
The controversy centers on Tuju's involvement with Dari Limited, a company facing significant debt-related legal battles that have dragged on for years. Tuju has maintained that the cases are politically motivated and designed to discredit him following his fallout with the ruling administration.
