Spurs Chase City Duo , Savinho and Marmoush

Tottenham Hotspur have entered advanced discussions with Manchester City over a potential double signing of attackers Omar Marmoush and Savinho.
Club sources indicate that talks between the two Premier League sides are moving forward steadily, though no final agreement has been struck. The north London club views the pair as key additions who could inject creativity and goals into a forward line that struggled badly last season.
Brazilian winger Savinho first attracted Spurs’ attention in 2025, yet he chose to remain at the Etihad Stadium after arriving from French side Troyes for £30 million the previous year. Limited to just seven Premier League starts during the most recent campaign, the 22-year-old is now open to a fresh start elsewhere. Egyptian forward Marmoush, signed from Eintracht Frankfurt for £59 million in 2025, saw his influence decline under Pep Guardiola and managed only eight goals across 36 appearances in all competitions.
City are expected to demand a substantial profit on both players, although exact valuations remain unclear. Meanwhile, Tottenham head coach Roberto de Zerbi has already invested heavily in midfield, bringing in Mateus Fernandes from West Ham and Sandro Tonali from Newcastle for a combined £185 million. Despite those reinforcements, the Italian has made clear that greater firepower up front is essential after Spurs finished 17th and scored a modest 48 goals in 38 league matches.
Interest in Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo continues to linger, yet questions persist over whether the club can stretch its budget to accommodate the Dutch international alongside the two City targets. Manchester City have already offloaded several squad members this summer, including Rodri, Tijjani Reijnders and goalkeeper James Trafford, creating further room for movement.
Both clubs prepare for the new Premier League season with Spurs travelling to Brentford on Saturday and City hosting Bournemouth a day later. A successful conclusion to these talks would mark a significant statement of intent from Tottenham as they look to climb the table and restore attacking fluency under de Zerbi’s guidance.
