Two Youths Shot Dead And 3 Injured In Busia Town During Protest Clash With Police.

Two young men were shot by the police in Busia town on Tuesday evening after demonstrations turned violent. The clashes involved a group identified as "jobless" and police.
The youth, from Marachi estate on the outskirts of Busia town, had been protesting earlier that day to demand the release of youth leader Edwin Wepukhulu.
Wepukhulu was arrested over allegations that he damaged a police vehicle at the Korinda roadblock. His detention sparked demonstrations that escalated into confrontations with officers by evening.
Witnesses reported that two youths died at the scene after being shot by police. Three others sustained injuries during the incident.
The injured are currently receiving treatment at a private hospital in Busia town.
Police have not yet issued an official statement on the shootings or the circumstances that led to officers opening fire. The condition of the three injured individuals remains unclear.
