I.E.B.C currently undertaking by-elections in Porro Ward and Endo Ward have attracted significant political attention as parties and independent candidates intensify campaigns to win the vacant MCA seats. The contests are expected to test the influence of major political parties in Samburu and Elgeyo/Marakwet counties.

In Porro Ward, located in Samburu West Constituency within Samburu County, voters will elect a new Member of County Assembly following the death of former MCA Patrick Leerte. The by-election has drawn several candidates, with Daniel Lolngojine of United Democratic Alliance (UDA) emerging as one of the frontrunners. He faces strong competition from Josaphat Leleur of Kenya African National Union (KANU) alongside other aspirants seeking to capture the seat.

Meanwhile, in Endo Ward of Marakwet East Constituency in Elgeyo/Marakwet County, the race for MCA has also intensified. Jeremiah Kiptum Kibiwott, running on a UDA ticket, is among the leading candidates. He is competing against independent candidates Felix Kimtai Kipkeu, Festus Korir Kirop, and Joseph Kimaiyo Kwambai.
