Weatherman Forecasts Continued Rainfall Across Several Regions

The Kenya Meteorological Department has warned that rainfall and showers will continue in several parts of the country this week.
The regions expected to receive continued rains include the Central Highlands, Western Kenya, and the Coastal region. Occasional showers are also likely in parts of the South Rift Valley, South-eastern lowlands, and North-eastern Kenya as the long rains season remains active.
While the rains are beneficial for agriculture and may help replenish water sources, the weatherman has issued a caution. Heavy downpours could disrupt transport networks and daily activities, especially in low-lying and flood-prone areas where waterlogging and flooding remain a risk. Members of the public are advised to stay updated with official weather alerts and take necessary precautions.
In addition to rainfall, the forecast indicates hot daytime conditions, with temperatures expected to rise above 30°C in parts of the Coast, South-eastern lowlands, North-eastern, and North-western Kenya. On the other hand, cool nights with temperatures dropping below 10°C are likely in the Central Highlands, Central Rift Valley, and areas near Mount Kilimanjaro. Residents in these areas should prepare accordingly for the varying temperatures.
