KondeGang Explains why Harmonize's Song "Beautiful" was Removed on YouTube.

Tanzanian star Harmonize’s latest single “Beautiful” vanished from YouTube only days after its August 14, 2026 release, prompting his label KondeGang to issue a public clarification.

On Tuesday, August 18, the official Instagram account of the imprint informed followers that a copyright claim filed by another party had triggered the takedown. The statement aimed to calm concern among fans who had already begun streaming and sharing the track.

“Dear fans, we would like to inform you that our new song ‘Beautiful’ by Harmonize has been removed from YouTube due to a copyright claim made by someone else,” the label wrote. It added that the team was “already following up on the matter closely and taking the necessary steps to resolve it,” while asking supporters to remain patient and continue backing the artist. An official music video that accompanied the song was also pulled from the platform as a result of the same claim.

“Beautiful” was designed as the opening number on Harmonize’s forthcoming album 31, scheduled to arrive on September 4. The track mixes Bongo Flava with Afrobeats and Amapiano, weaving Swahili and English lyrics that praise a woman’s inner qualities—her character, loyalty and the uplifting presence she brings—rather than focusing solely on physical appearance. Its early removal therefore interrupted the carefully planned rollout of the new project.

Although the song has temporarily lost its place on one of the world’s largest video platforms, it remains accessible on other major streaming services. Listeners can still enjoy the romantic anthem while the label works through the dispute. The episode marks another chapter in Harmonize’s history with copyright challenges on YouTube; earlier tracks such as “Uno” and “Sherehe” faced similar temporary removals before eventually being restored.

For an artist building momentum toward a new album, the sudden disappearance of the lead single creates an unwelcome hurdle. Yet KondeGang’s swift communication and ongoing efforts to settle the claim suggest the setback may prove short-lived, allowing “Beautiful” and the rest of 31 to reach audiences as originally intended once the rights issue is cleared.
