No Confusion: Tim Wanyonyi Sets Record Straight on Sifuna Alliance

Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi has sought to draw a clear line between his own political position and statements attributed to people within his political circle.
In a statement issued through his campaign secretariat, Wanyonyi said his official position on political programmes, engagements and future plans should only be taken from him directly or from his authorised secretariat led by Eric Makokha.
The MP urged his supporters and residents of Bungoma to disregard speculation and focus on the political and development agenda he has been advancing.
Wanyonyi also emphasised that comments made by friends, colleagues or supporters should not automatically be treated as representing his position.
He said that whenever clarification is required on his political stance, he would communicate directly or do so through his official secretariat.
The clarification comes amid renewed attention to Wanyonyi's political activities and his reported association with Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna's political camp.
Wanyonyi has previously been publicly associated with Sifuna's political initiatives, while his political positioning continues to attract interest because of his family ties to National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula, who remains an influential figure in Kenya's national politics.
For now, Wanyonyi's latest message places emphasis on his own official channels as the authoritative source of information about his political direction.
He concluded by reaffirming his focus on Bungoma and the work ahead, maintaining the slogan associated with his political campaign: “Tim Bungoma, Sifuna Kenya.”
