Safaricom Sales Officers Boost Skills at Mumias Training

Over 330 Safaricom sales officers from across Western Kenya gathered for an empowering training session at the Mumias Garden Park Hotel.

The session focused on personal safety, practical strategies to boost earnings, and ways to improve overall quality of life. Participants left energized, equipped with new knowledge and tools to help them thrive both professionally and personally in a competitive market.

The event brought together several senior safaricom officials, underscoring Safaricom’s strong commitment to supporting its frontline teams. These included David Mgenya, Regional Marketing Lead for Greater Western; Nashon Angila, Territory Business Lead for Kakamega; and Lichin Obiero, Territory Business Lead for Busia. Regional security expert Kevin Ocholla and Western Region Health and Safety officer, Kennedy Otieno also played key roles, delivering vital insights on staying secure while on duty. Additionally, Busia territory cluster leads conducted hands-on training on the Safaricom One App, teaching officers how to maximize its features for superior customer service and leverage its built-in security advantages to protect both agents and transactions.

This well-attended workshop reflects Safaricom’s continued investment in its sales force, combining safety awareness with income growth opportunities and modern digital tools.
