Hundreds of students, parents, teachers, and alumni at St. Peters Mwiruti Girls Secondary School in Bumula Sub-County, Bungoma County, poured into the school compound in celebration after the release of the 2025 KCSE examination results, in which the school broke its own academic record.

The institution successfully sent over 60 candidates to university, marking one of the best performances in the school’s history and reinforcing its steady academic growth.

Speaking to the media during the celebrations, the school principal, Mrs. Mildred Opwora, attributed the success to teamwork, discipline, and strong cooperation between the school management, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders.

“The cooperation we have had with our shareholders has truly yielded positive results. I would like to thank the entire team that participated and sacrificed to make this achievement possible,” said Mrs. Opwora.

She also acknowledged the role of spiritual guidance, thanking the Kabula Catholic community for providing spiritual nourishment that has helped guide students toward discipline and focus.

On matters of discipline, the Deputy Principal, Mrs. Pamela Chetambe, emphasized the importance of continued cooperation between parents and the school.

“We call upon parents to continue working closely with the school management for the betterment of a disciplined and morally upright society in the future,” she said.

Mrs. Chetambe also urged parents to pay school fees on time, noting that timely payments ensure the smooth running of school programs and academic activities.

The Head of Academics, Mr. Mbaraky, congratulated the 2025 KCSE candidates for their exemplary performance and appealed to the government to deploy more teachers, especially to support new subjects recently introduced at the school.

“Additional teachers will help us effectively manage the new subjects and sustain the improving performance,” he noted.

Meanwhile, the Examinations Department head, Mr. Marani, urged parents to offer psychological support to their children, especially during examination periods, to help them cope with academic pressure and challenges.

St. Peters Mwiruti Girls has recorded remarkable academic growth, improving its mean score to 7.3 points, up from 6.1 points previously, making it one of the fastest-improving schools in the region.

Education stakeholders have praised the school’s discipline, commitment, and steady progress, expressing confidence that the institution is on track to achieve even greater academic excellence in future KCSE examinations.
