Western Kenya Leaders Rally Behind President Ruto.

Leaders aligned with the Kenya Kwanza administration are stepping up efforts to build momentum for President William Ruto’s re-election bid.
During a recent event in Kakamega County, they urged communities in Western Kenya to stay united and back the government’s ongoing development efforts. The gathering, which included the commissioning of new classrooms at Shanjero Primary School in Shinyalu Constituency, highlighted progress in education and other key sectors aimed at improving lives across the region.
Farouk Kibet appealed to teachers not to send students home due to fee arrears, confirming that capitation funds are being prepared for release by the Ministry of Education. He stressed the need for quick action to keep learning on track. Kibet also spoke against divisive ethnic politics, encouraging leaders from all sides to embrace issue-based approaches that prioritize national growth and unity in the country.
On local concerns, Kibet raised alarm over recent cases of child defilement in the area and called on security agencies to act swiftly in bringing perpetrators to justice. Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka praised the increased focus on infrastructure and other projects benefiting Western Kenya. Shinyalu MP Fred Ikana thanked the President for supporting school improvements, while Kakamega Deputy Governor Ayub Savula criticized former President Uhuru Kenyatta for allegedly backing opposition moves.
Navakholo MP Emmanuel Wangwe encouraged residents to maintain their support for the administration to unlock more opportunities. The leaders reaffirmed commitment to better education access, stronger infrastructure, and economic growth, positioning these achievements as reasons for continued backing of President Ruto’s vision in the lead-up to the next general election.
