Secondary Schools in Teso Central Sub-County Shine in 2025 KCSE Results

Apokor Secondary School in Teso Central Sub-County was not left behind in celebrating outstanding performance in the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations, with 79 candidates qualifying to join university.
The school’s principal, Patrick Litunda, acknowledged the numerous challenges facing the institution — including a severe shortage of teachers — but expressed deep appreciation for the strong partnership with the area Member of Parliament, Mary Emase. He credited her consistent provision of bursaries for significantly boosting student enrollment and contributing to the impressive results.
In a historic achievement, St Elizabeth Okatekok Secondary School in Amukura Central Ward recorded a major milestone, with 29 out of 72 candidates who sat the 2025 KCSE examinations qualifying for university admission.
The school’s principal, Pius Ikapel, attributed the strong performance to the hard work and determination of the students, combined with the collective efforts of teachers, parents, and local leaders. He expressed optimism that the school will build on this success and deliver even better results in the coming year.
